has re-posted his home-brew recipe for rehydrating fluids to be swallowed (ORS or Oral Rehydration Solution) in case of

Dehydration, from a prolonged bout of flu; with it’s fever, vomiting, and diarrhea, can easily kill patients that might have otherwise survived the virus.

He discusses the rationale for using the solution, what to avoid, and how to make your own single-use packets of ingredients for dissolving in drinking water, when needed. Even in 1919, many more people died from lack of nursing than from the virus itself.
