Just because someone wears a white coat or has a degree doesn’t make them infallible. It’s up to each of us to use our own sense.
“Doctor pleads guilty to felony tax evasion

A Bethel doctor pleaded guilty to felony tax evasion in U.S. District Court in Anchorage on Friday.
Dr. Leigh Gilburn, 45, an osteopathic physician at the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corp., admitted defrauding the government of $181,000 in taxes, according to a press release from the Internal Revenue Service.
Gilburn is also known as Dr. Leigh Gill and Tamory Gill.
… Gilburn admitted she owed taxes from 1997 through 2002. In 1997, she filed a tax return saying she had no income and was owed a refund. She also filed false W-4 forms to her employer, claiming she was exempt from federal taxes… She did not file federal income tax returns from 1998 through 2002.
Gilburn is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 12.
